Getting my college degree is very important to me. I realize a college degree is very important for a good job, I will be the first in my family to go to college and I believe that I can achieve my goal to get my college degree by excelling both academically and in my athletics. The thing that makes me a good candidate for any team is I am a team player. I keep a positive attitude and I work hard whether i have the ball in my hand or not. I give 100% on each drill to be a better player, and I play to the last whistle. When I play I don't only play for myself I play for my team and for my family. I take time to listen to my coaches and take the drills from practice and try to implement it into my game. What makes me different from any other recruits in character is living with three siblings and a single mother comes with responsibility, leadership and integrity. All my life I have had responsibilities in my house at school and this year getting a job to contribute to my household. Having a younger sibling taught me to be a leader always showing my little sister right from wrong and setting a good example with my actions. I grew up transitioning from football and basketball. When I play basketball I play point guard, I direct the players where to go and put the ball in the right place at the right time. Since I was young I had always loved to play sports and having two older brothers to play with gives me a competitive drive to be better than them, to me athletics come naturally because I love to compete and I do whatever it takes to win. Academically my work ethic gets me good grades, always being involved in sports gives me less time to do homework so I use my free time to get my school work done on time and to my full ability. My mom does a good job of reminding me to be on top of my grades at all times. I often find myself not satisfied with being good, I want to be able to use my full potential to get me the very best place I can possibly be at all times.
